What to Expect
The fun never ends at Camp Yorktown Bay! Each week is packed with lots of special events such as the Ski Show, Water Olympics, Rodeo, Capture-the-Flag games, Agape Feast, and the Sabbath Adventure in addition to all of the regular classes like swimming, horseback riding, and rock climbing. There are so many fun activities to experience at CYB, we know you will make memories that you will never forget.
Each day right after breakfast, we will start the day off right with Camp Council. After all, we want to make sure that we dedicate everything we will do that day to Jesus. After morning worship, we're off to the first activity period you selected at registration. During this activity, you'll test your skills and learn some new ones along the way. Each camper will have the opportunity to complete the requirements to earn the Pathfinder honor for most of the activities they take this week.
Of course we'll take a break in the middle of the day to refill our tanks with a delicious meal in the cafeteria, shop for souvenirs in the Camp Store, grab a sno cone, and take a short rest. But soon after that, we're back to more activity periods.
Right after rest time, you'll rotate with your cabin through a different activity each day so you can learn and experience adventure together. This is a great opportunity to experience every activity that we offer at Camp Yorktown Bay. After your cabin's activity time, you'll go to the second activity that you selected at registration. Once again, you'll have the opportunity to earn Pathfinder honors as you are having fun and expanding your horizons.
After supper each evening, we will all meet on the ball field to hang out with our friends and have some good, old-fashioned fun! We'll watch barrel races at the Rodeo, earn prizes at the Carnival, and even play group games such as Capture-the-Flag, a CYB favorite!
Every night, we will gather at the Campfire Bowl to learn more about Jesus. We'll sing songs together, watch skits, and listen to inspiring stories from our Camp Pastor. You will truly be blessed as we learn about God in the natural setting that He's given us at CYB.
